I've made a conscious choice this time around of defoliating minimally so I don't needlessly reduce the plants' energy production, but when leaves likely take more energy to sustain than they're providing, it's time to get rid of them.
As plants are still growing pretty slowly, I increased the fertilizer dose today with the aim of ramping it up to recommended levels again over the coming week.
